Safety First

We are proud to employ some of the safest drivers in the industry. You’ll receive up to two weeks of hands-on training, including classroom orientation, local and overnight runs and a customized defensive driving course.

Work-Life Balance

We do our best to ensure our drivers are home every night, and we make every effort to limit the number of overnight routes. Full details on your location’s schedule can be provided in the interview.

Modern Equipment

We have some of the industry’s best maintained equipment. The average age of our tractors is less than four years old and our trailers less than seven years old. Each are equipped with on-board computers, satellite tracking and remote temperature monitoring for food safety quality control.

To best serve our customers, SpartanNash drivers are flexible to adjust their work schedules and days off, able to work on short notice to accommodate changes in volume, and adaptable to perform necessary related tasks.

Beyond the Wheel

Being a SpartanNash driver means going beyond the wheel. Depending on the customer, most drivers tailgate, pull pallets using a pallet jack, and unload using a hand truck. We encourage all drivers to create meaningful relationships with the customers they serve.
