Job Description:

As a District Manager for our growing Supermercado retail grocery banner, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple store locations in the Midwest. You will drive performance in sales, profitability, private label growth, customer satisfaction (OSAT), and associate engagement, while ensuring alignment with our culture and community values.

Here's What You’ll Do:

  • Champion a positive store culture that reflects our values and fosters strong associate, customer, and community relationships.

  • Cultivate a standard for operations excellence supported through training, development, recognition, and accountability

  • Serve as a key point of contact for escalated customer concerns, regulatory issues, and community partnerships.

  • Build strong, effective relationships with store teams, peers, and corporate partners

  • Develop and implement talent strategies, including pipeline development, succession planning, and leadership training across stores.

  • Analyze and act on financial reports, including profit and loss statements, to drive operational and financial performance.

  • Train and mentor Store Directors on using business data to improve results in sales, shrink, labor, and margin.

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, regulatory, and company standards across all store locations.

  • Promote a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both associates and customers.

  • Lead and support Store Directors in executing merchandising, staffing, and operational plans.

  • Monitor and improve customer experience metrics through coaching and accountability.

  • Provide leadership for associate development, performance management, and engagement.

  • Develop and manage district-level budgets, staffing plans, and business goals.

  • Stay informed on retail and grocery industry trends, bringing forward innovative ideas to enhance performance.

  • Perform other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

  • 10+ years of progressive retail operations experience; 5 years in multi-unit leadership preferred.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and influence skills.

  • Proven track record of developing teams and delivering business results.

  • Deep knowledge of grocery merchandising, particularly in fresh departments.

  • Financial acumen with experience analyzing and managing P&L statements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

  • Willingness to travel 30%–50% across the Midwest.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
