Job Description:

Position Summary:

Lead Workday and Human Resource technology initiatives that align, develop, and deploy human capital and total rewards in ways that attain the organization’s strategic objectives. This position identifies and implements Workday and HRIS tools and strategies to achieve business goals. In collaboration with leaders at all levels, uses Workday technology to design, develop and implement solutions in the areas of process improvement, change management and organization design.

This role will be based at our corporate HQ in Byron Center, MI (Grand Rapids area)

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Assess the need for, design, and lead process improvement efforts to improve human and organization performance and business outcomes using available technology solutions.

  • Manage HRIS team and provide training of Workday by collaborating with functional users, HRIS, and consulting partners.

  • Ensure Workday is functioning efficiently and reliably and manage Workday releases and updates.

  • Engage in visionary and strategic exploration of new HR technology strategies and practices.

  • Review/redesign business processes to eliminate waste and implement best practices delivered by Workday.

  • Develop exceptional relationships and strong lines of communication across the organization and the HR function to allow for effective, on-going collaboration.

  • Assess impact to organization and engage stakeholders addressing their needs and concerns to ensure buy-in and that the solution delivered meets the needs of the organization.

  • Partner with IT team to develop and implement Workday integrations and comprehensive technology solutions across the organization, including Payroll, Benefits and Talent Acquisition.

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of employee data within Workday and enforce data security protocols and access controls.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with emphasis in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or other related area.

  • 10+ years Human Resources experience with strong HRIS and Workday background

  • 5-10 years managerial experience

  • Proficiency in Workday and other HR technology solutions

  • Proficiency in Human Resource teams, needs and requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and direct/facilitate project teams.

  • Strategic thinking and analytic skills

  • Ability to develop complex project and technology roadmaps and lead implementation.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
