Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to oversee a team in the sourcing, securing, and managing of high-level strategic transportation needs for existing Blue Ribbon Transport (BRT) customers. The Supervisor of Dedicated Accounts will work to understand each customers’ business needs and will collaborate with the account management team to ensure the development and implementation of solutions to bring value added service to each customer.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Provide account leadership including coordination of internal analytical, strategic and technical resources to deliver on each customer’s needs and expectations.

  • Understand each customers’ business needs and participate in solution development. Effectively communicate solutions to customers, account managers, and members of management.

  • Facilitate all aspects of staffing management including hire, develop, retain, train, and hold accountable a team of account management personnel.

  • Sourcing and securing freight opportunities.

  • Interacts at the C-level, VP level and Director level within accounts.

  • Creates and leads effective high-level presentations including monthly executive summaries, regular business reviews and strategic planning including SAPs and SOPs.

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within each assigned customer.

  • Grow existing accounts by sourcing and securing new opportunities from within each customer.

  • Acts as a resource to the Business Development team in the Blue-Ribbon Transport proven process.

  • Have a broad knowledge of truck markets/pricing and negotiate rates with customers.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required) or equivalent Account Management Experience

  • Three Years' experience in Account Management in a brokerage or third-party logistics (3PL) environment.

  • Two years supervisory experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel) and other desktop software.

  • Ability to multi-task in completing and prioritizing scheduled activities along with random activities.

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced unique team environment.

  • Must be detail-oriented and must meet scheduled deadlines.

  • Hands-on Leadership style is a must.

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a typical office environment and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. Temperatures may vary for those subject to any of the following areas: computer/server room, print shop, production area). The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
